Subject in Ha Tinh disguised a batch of drugs worth more than half a billion VND in 2 tea packages
Hung bought drugs from Laos, wrapped them in dry tea packages, brought them back to Vietnam and divided them into small pieces to sell throughout the central provinces.
On July 15, Ha Tinh police said they had just arrested Le Manh Hung (45 years old, residing in Huong Khe town) to investigate the crime.Illegal possession of drugs, according to Article 249 of the 2015 Penal Code.

At around 10 p.m. on July 14, based on a tip from the locals, dozens of police officers broke into the 6th floor of a hotel in Huong Khe town (Huong Khe district), catching Hung red-handed in possession of 2 kg of crystal meth, disguised in two packages of dry tea.
Authorities determined that the above batch of drugs was worth more than half a billion dong.
Hung confessed to buying "white goods" from Laos, then transporting them through unofficial channels to Vietnam, and selling them to partners in the Central provinces.
According to local authorities, Hung had two previous convictions for drug trafficking and theft.
