(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of January 2, Quynh Doi commune, Quynh Luu district held a ceremony to welcome the remains of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thao; Martyr Ho My Xuyen and Revolutionary Veteran Nguyen Thi Chanh to their hometown for burial.

Attending the welcoming ceremony, on the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Le Ngoc Hoa - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee and representatives of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Yen Bai province.District leaderand local.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Thao (1900 -1984) was born into a Confucian family with a tradition of patriotism, and married into a revolutionary family, the wife of the exemplary senior leader Ho Tung Mau.

Throughout her life, Comrade Nguyen Thi Thao effectively collaborated with her husband to help him achieve the great cause of saving the country and the people. With such great contributions, in 1995, she was honored to be awarded the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mother by the Party and State. In her last days, she lived with her son's family in Hanoi and died there.

Comrade Ho My Xuyen (1920 - 1948) was the great-grandson of Ho Ba On and the only child of Ho Tung Mau and Nguyen Thi Thao. In 1945, he became a member of the Communist Party of Vietnam. From May 1945 to 1946, Comrade Ho My Xuyen was a member of the Provincial Party Committee, a member of the Standing Committee and Deputy Secretary of the Nghe An Provincial Party Committee; and the first Director of the Provincial Party School, now the Nghe An Provincial Political School.

In 1947, he was transferred to Viet Bac, working at the Central Party Office, and was appointed by President Ho Chi Minh and the Government as a Special Commissioner of the Government delegation to work at the Northwest front. He died in Luc Yen Chau - Yen Bai on March 19, 1948 at the age of 28 and was buried in the Yen Bai provincial cemetery.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Chanh (1919 - 2018), born into a traditional Confucian family, participated in patriotic activities in her youth, and was the wife of comrade Ho My Xuyen.

Although she experienced many losses and sacrifices, her husband died early, and she raised three young children alone, with the noble virtues of a Vietnamese woman, she devoted herself to her husband and raised her children to adulthood. Although she was arrested and imprisoned, she remained loyal to the Party, was a member of the District Party Committee, and President of the Women's Union of Quynh Luu District.

With such great contributions, comrade Nguyen Thi Chanh was recognized by the Party and State as a revolutionary veteran and awarded the 70-year Party membership badge. She fell ill and passed away in her hometown of Quynh Doi at the end of 2018.

At the ceremony to welcome the remains of Vietnamese Heroic Mother Nguyen Thi Thao, Martyr Ho My Xuyen and Revolutionary Veteran Nguyen Thi Chanh, leaders of Nghe An province, Yen Bai province, Quynh Luu district, local officials and people, and relatives expressed their pride and deep gratitude for the great contributions of the comrades, who have made many contributions and sacrifices for the revolutionary cause of the nation, bringing glory to the traditions of their homeland Quynh Doi.

In the sacred moment, the delegates vowed to continue promoting and carrying on the tradition and revolutionary spirit of their comrades to build their homeland to become more and more prosperous./.
