On the morning of September 5, Nguyen Trai Secondary School (Tan Ky town, Tan Ky district) held the Opening Ceremony of the 2023-2024 school year.

Attending the celebration with teachers and students of Nguyen Trai Secondary School were comrades: Nguyen Thi Thu Huong - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department; Bui Thanh Bao - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Tan Ky district; representatives of the Department of Education and Training, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union.

On October 15, 1992, Nguyen Trai Secondary School was established with the core political task of selecting and nurturing talented people.pupilexcellent in Tan Ky district. From 2015 to present, Nguyen Trai Secondary School has accepted more secondary school students with registered residence in the town. In 2019, the school was selected by the People's Committee of Nghe An province as one of 9 typical pilot schools to build a high-quality key school in the province.

Over 31 years of construction and development, Nguyen Trai Secondary School has always identified its role, vision, and core values; focused on building internal solidarity; innovated teaching methods; achieved many outstanding achievements in teaching, gradually bringing the school up to par with key units in the whole province.

Nguyen Trai Secondary School has been awarded the title of excellent labor collective at the provincial level for 18 years, 24 Certificates of Merit from the Provincial People's Committee, 03 Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Education and Training, 01 Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam Education Trade Union, 01 Certificate of Merit from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, 02 Certificates of Merit from the Prime Minister, 03 Leading Emulation Flags of Nghe An Province, 01 Leading Emulation Flag of the Vietnam Education Trade Union... was awarded the Third Class Labor Medal by the President; recognized as a national standard school for phase 2 of the 2021-2022 school year.

In the 2023-2024 school year, Nguyen Trai Secondary School has 21 classes, 866 students and 48 staff, teachers and employees.
