Comrade Nguyen Van Thong congratulated Tet and gave gifts in Tuong Duong district

The provincial delegation led by Mr. Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee visited, presented gifts and wished a happy new year to officers and soldiers of the armed forces, families with meritorious services and poor households in Tuong Duong district. Accompanying them were representatives of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, the provincial Police, the provincial Military Command and the provincial Ethnic Committee.

Visiting, presenting gifts and wishing a happy new year to officers and soldiers of the Military Command, District Police and Tam Quang Border Guard Station; on behalf of the provincial leaders, comrade Nguyen Van Thong - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee shared the sacrifices, disadvantages, hardships and difficulties of officers and soldiers in the process of performing their duties, especially during holidays and Lunar New Year when they are still on duty, ensuring security, order and peace for the people.

Especially in Tuong Duong district, a complex area in terms of law violations and crimes, especially drug crimes and human trafficking crimes, officers and soldiers have shown courage, not afraid of difficulties, not afraid to face dangers to complete their tasks, ensure peace for the people, ensure security and order, border security, protect the Party, the government, and protect the Fatherland.

Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong also acknowledged the spirit of readiness to receive and carry out the tasks of keeping peace and safety for people to enjoy Spring and celebrate the Lunar New Year of Canh Ty of the units, as well as ensuring the regimes and policies for officers and soldiers during Tet.

Affirming the pride of the Army and Police forces, which are honored to carry the image of Uncle Ho's soldiers and the People's Police, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong hopes that officers and soldiers of the units will continue to promote their bravery, firmly overcome challenges, be absolutely loyal to the Party and the regime, and be worthy of being the support of the Party and the people in performing national defense and security tasks, ensuring security and order, border security, protecting the Party, the State and the Fatherland.

Visiting, presenting gifts and wishing a happy new year to Mrs. Tran Thi Kinh, 97 years old, mother of martyr Dau Van Nam who died in 1979 in the Southwest battlefield, the Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee acknowledged the family's contributions to the country's peace and their exemplary role in building a new life. Comrade Nguyen Van Thong also visited and wished a happy new year to Mrs. Luong Thi Thai (110 years old), a typical elderly person in Xa Luong commune.

The provincial delegation also visited, presented gifts and wished Mr. Quang Van Dau - former Deputy Head of the Provincial Ethnic Minorities Committee, currently retired in Tam Quang commune. On behalf of the delegation, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong acknowledged Mr. Quang Van Dau's contributions during his working time and upon his return to the locality, he continued to contribute to Party building, government building as well as local movements.

Coming to wish a happy new year and give gifts to 100 poor households in Xa Luong commune, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Thong shared that despite their efforts to improve, due to difficult conditions, the families have not had a more fulfilling life.

Comrade Nguyen Van Thong affirmed that the spirit of “mutual love” is a fine tradition that has existed for thousands of years in the nation and in recent years, this tradition has been continued to be promoted by cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the province, who have given up part of their income to share and encourage the poor and those in difficult circumstances, especially during the Lunar New Year; at the same time, he hoped that families would make efforts and strive to improve their lives.
