(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of August 26, Nghia An commune (Nghia Dan) solemnly held a ceremony to celebrate its 70th anniversary (1953 - 2023). Attending the ceremony was comrade Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province.
In 1953, implementing the policy of dividing large communes into small communes according to geographical areas, Minh An commune, Nghia Dan district was divided into 2 communes: Nghia An and Nghia Khanh. This also marked the birth of today's Nghia An commune.
After 70 years of construction and development, Nghia An commune has achieved many important achievements in many fields. In 2020, the commune was honored to be recognized by the Chairman of Nghe An Provincial People's Committee as a commune meeting new rural standards. The economic growth rate is maintained at 14-15%/year, with the proportion of trade and services accounting for 35%.
The commune has established Hau Nguyen High-Tech Agricultural Cooperative with a net house area of over 20,000 m2.2. The main product of the cooperative is high-quality melon; In Dong Tam A and Dong Tam B hamlets, a dairy cow herd model with a scale of more than 340 cows is maintained. The commune meets national criteria on health; 3/3 schools are recognized as national standards. The poverty rate in 2022 is 5.79%; National defense and security are maintained.
The commune Party Committee also regularly focuses on the work of building the Party and the political system. The work of grasping people's thoughts and public opinion is focused on, leading and directing the timely resolution of difficulties and problems at the grassroots level. The role of the Fatherland Front and political organizations is constantly strengthened and promoted.
