Heavy rain also caused some railway sections to be heavily flooded, forcing trains passing through to reduce speed. According to a report by Thanh Hoa Railway Joint Stock Company, the average rainfall measured was 100-200mm, causing railway flooding at Km 240+950- Km 241+150 and Km 242+650- Km 242+900.

To ensure the safety of the trains, at 9:45 the Company blocked the Truong Lam - Hoang Mai section due to 150mm of water on the rails, the strong currents caused the rock foundation to erode, threatening the safety of the railway. The two trains SEI1 and SE36 reduced their speed to V= 5Km/h. The Company has added ballast at the locations where the rock foundation was eroded. The volume of ballast added is 44m3.
By 4:45 p.m., trains passing through here had returned to normal speed from Km 242+650 - Km 242+900.
Currently, in Hoang Mai town, it is still raining heavily.
