On November 27, Tan Ky District People's Court tried the criminal case against Le Duy Hanh (born 1988), residing in Giai Xuan commune, for the crime ofgamble.
The indictment stated that at around 10:30 p.m. on May 13, 2020, at the house of Hoang Trung Ky in Van Xuan hamlet, Giai Xuan commune (Tan Ky), Giai Xuan commune police caught red-handed 4 subjects including Le Duy Hanh (who had not had his criminal record cleared for "Gambling"), Hoang Van Chau, Nguyen Thanh Hai, and Hoang Van Ty, gambling in the form of "Tien len mien Nam" with an amount of 1,190,000 VND.

Also on November 27, Le Duy Hanh and his accomplices Lai Van Hai (born in 1989), both residing in Van Xuan hamlet, Giai Xuan commune, and Nguyen Huu Long (born in 1974), residing in Tan Thai hamlet (Tan Ky) continued to be tried for gambling in another court session.
On October 14, Le Duy Hanh, Lai Van Hai, Tran Van Binh and Nguyen Huu Long invited each other to go to Motel 569 in Tan Thai hamlet, Tan Phu commune (Tan Ky) to rent a room to gamble. When they arrived, Tran Van Binh rented a private room to rest, while Hanh, Hai and Long rented another room to gamble in the form of "Betting on chapters". At about 0:40 on October 15, when the subjects werekillThe Nghia Thai Commune Police in coordination with Tan Phu Commune Police caught them red-handed, confiscating 11,800,000 VND and related evidence at the gambling table.
Notably, on April 6, 2020, Le Duy Hanh was administratively fined 1 million VND by Giai Xuan Commune Police for "Gambling". After completing the fine on April 6, 2020, and until now, his criminal record has not been cleared, on October 12, 2020, Hanh was prosecuted by the Investigation Police Agency of Tan Ky District Police for "Gambling". After 2 days of prosecution, while on bail, Hanh continued to gamble with his accomplices.
At the end of the trial, the panel sentenced Le Duy Hanh to 8 months in prison, Lai Van Hai to 5 months in prison, Nguyen Huu Long to 3 months in prison, and applied Article 56 of the Penal Code to combine the sentences, forcing defendant Nguyen Huu Long to serve the sentence of Judgment No. 41/2020/HSST dated September 16, 2020 of the People's Court of Tan Ky district, which is 36 months in prison.
