The man who bought drugs from debt to sell for profit was sentenced to life in prison.
(Baonghean.vn) - Greedy for profit, Loc Van On bought a large amount of drugs on credit to bring home and sell them gradually. While On was selling the "goods" to some addicts, he was arrested by the police.
On the morning of December 27, Nghe An Provincial People's Court opened a first-instance criminal trial of Loc Van On (born in 1983, residing in Dua village, Luong Minh commune, Tuong Duong district) for the crime of "Illegal drug trafficking".
According to the indictment, because he knew Lu and Nhenh before, in early July 2019, Loc Van On went to Pu Lom hill to meet these two people to discuss buying drugs on debt to sell at home, and would pay later when he sold them. Nhenh and Lu agreed.

Nhenh gave On a plastic bag and said: "Inside there are crystal meth, heroin and 45 packages of pink pills, worth 110 million VND, when you sell it, bring the money here to pay". On took the plastic bag home, opened it and saw inside 45 packages of pink pills, 2 plastic bags containing heroin and crystal meth. On took the drugs out and divided them into small pieces to sell for profit.
At about 9:30 a.m. on August 11, while On was selling drugs to some people at his home, he was discovered by a working group of Ky Son District Police in coordination with Nghe An Customs Department, caught red-handed, and seized 59.75 grams of heroin and 978.8 grams of Methamphetamine; 1 RG88 pistol that fired rubber bullets and tear gas; 17 bullets of various types, and 1 small scale.
At the trial, the defendant admitted to his crime. The panel of judges determined that the defendant’s actions were particularly dangerous to society. The defendant trafficked in large quantities of drugs, so a strict sentence was needed, the right person, the right crime. Considering the entire case, the court sentenced Loc Van On to life in prison.
Regarding On's act of storing guns and ammunition, because it did not reach the level of criminal prosecution, Ky Son District Police issued a decision to administratively sanction the defendant and handle the evidence according to regulations.
Regarding the two men named Lu and Nhenh who sold drugs to Loc Van On, the gun and ammunition seller, because the defendant did not know the background and specific addresses of these people, there was no basis to investigate, clarify and prosecute them criminally.
