According to the Nghe An Department of Health, as of May 4, nearly 20,000 people in the province have been vaccinated against Covid-19. All vaccinations are safe and in stable health.
Meanwhile, as of the morning of May 4, about 540,000 people nationwide had been vaccinated with this vaccine.
To date, Nghe An has collected 44,667 Covid-19 test samples; of which 44,591 samples have negative results; 16 samples have positive results (of 4 patients, of which: 3 patients are being isolated and treated at the Southwest Regional General Hospital and 1 patient has recovered and been discharged from the hospital); 60 samples are awaiting results.
Currently, Nghe An is isolating and monitoring the health of 829 cases, of which 661 cases are isolated at home (151 cases voluntarily isolated and monitored at home); 55 people are isolated at the district level; 54 people are isolated at the provincial level; 7 cases are isolated at the hospital, all of whom are in stable health. In addition, Nghe An is also organizing isolation for 52 foreign experts.

Regarding the domestic situation, the Ministry of Health's afternoon bulletin on May 4 said that there were 11 more Covid-19 cases, including 1 domestic case in Da Nang, 10 imported cases were immediately quarantined. Thus, on May 4, the whole country recorded only 3 cases of community transmission.
Regarding the community infection case (Patient 2989) recorded in Da Nang city: Female patient, 25 years old, address in Long My district, Hau Giang province; working in Hai Chau district, Da Nang city since April 30, 2021. The patient is F1 of Patient 2982. Test results confirmed on May 4, 2021 positive for SARS-CoV-2. The patient is currently isolated and treated at Da Nang Lung Hospital.
Thus, Vietnam has a total of 1,608 Covid-19 cases due to domestic infection, of which the number of new cases from April 27 to now is 38.
The chain of community infections in Ha Nam since April 29 includes 20 cases related to patients returning from Japan, spreading to 4 provinces and cities: Ha Nam, Hanoi, Hung Yen, and Ho Chi Minh City.
The chain of community infections related to the group of Chinese experts since April 2 includes 14 people in Vinh Phuc and one person in Hanoi. In addition, the source of infection in Da Nang is unknown. To date, more than 550,000 people nationwide have been vaccinated against Covid-19.

From 0:00 on May 4, people who have completed the 14-day centralized quarantine and tested negative twice will not be allowed to leave the quarantine area. This decision was made by the Ministry of Health after a number of cases recently completed the centralized quarantine period but were still recorded as positive for nCoV, causing the epidemic to spread in the community. The Ministry of Health requested the Centers for Disease Control/Preventive Medicine Centers of provinces and cities to implement this decision until a new announcement from the National Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control. Those who have just left the quarantine area will still be subject to the same regulations, that is, self-monitoring at home and being managed by local authorities.
