Nearly 400 athletes participate in the Nghe An province Vovinam club championship

On the morning of December 12, in Nghi Loc district, the Department of Culture and Sports and the Vovinam Federation of Nghe An province jointly organized the first Nghe An Vovinam Club Championship - 2020.

Club ChampionshipVovinamThe first Nghe An province competition in 2020 was held with the aim of continuing to promote the campaign "All people practice physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho", and at the same time promoting and developing the movement of practicing Vovinam and Viet Vo Dao at all ages.

At the same time, create opportunities for athletes to practice and compete to improve their professional skills in order to discover and select talented and excellent athletes to introduce to the provincial Vovinam team and the team participating in the National Phu Dong Sports Festival in 2021.

This tournament has nearly 400 athletes from 29 delegations from districts, cities, towns and units in the province. The athletes compete in 69 sets of medals (competing against each other in 36medal set; boxing competition (33 sets of medals). Of which, the fighting competition has 18 weight categories for men (from 32 kg to over 63 kg), 17 weight categories for women (from 32 kg to over 54 kg); boxing competition content includes: single practice, double practice, multiple practice (multi-practice bare-handed practice for men and women; multi-practice weapon practice for men and women).

According to the Organizing Committee, the participating forces of the units and localities have carefully prepared and planned to build a successor force, registering many new faces to compete. Most of the athletes are quite young and have been promoted tocompeteto create conditions for rubbing shoulders and learning experiences.
