Nearly 500 F1 cases related to English teacher infected with Covid-19
“Nearly 500 F1 cases related to the English teacher infected with Covid-19 have been traced,” said Mr. Phan Thanh Tam, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control.
After detecting two Covid-19 cases, patients 1342 and 1347, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Health held an urgent online meeting with 129 hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City.

At the meeting, Mr. Phan Thanh Tam, Deputy Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control (HCDC), said that patient 1342 infected with Covid-19 (male, 28 years old, flight attendant of Vietnam Airlines) was quarantined in 2 phases, including quarantine at the quarantine area according to Vietnam Airlines' conditions and quarantine at home.
Patient 1342 infected patient 1347 (male, 32 years old, Vietnamese nationality, English teacher). Patient 1347 has traveled to many places and contacted many people.
Up to now, the city's health sector has traced nearly 500 F1 cases that had contact with patient 1347, and at the same time, continued to trace and isolate F2.

Mr. Tam said, HCDC has also updated 6 epidemic locations including:
- CT gym from November 18 (Phu Nhuan district)
- ICOOL karaoke bar room 202 on November 23 (District 10)
- Highland Coffee Shop at Van Hanh Mall Center from 8:00 to 9:00 p.m. on November 22 (District 10)
- Phuong Snail Restaurant from 8pm to 10pm on November 25 (District 10)
- KEY English Center in District 10 (from November 18 to 27) and Tan Binh District (November 18-26)
HCDC noted that customers who have been to the above locations need to go to the nearest medical facility to make a medical declaration and have samples taken for Covid-19 testing, and at the same time, quarantine at home.
Home quarantine for those who have been to 6 epidemic areas The Ho Chi Minh City Center for Disease Control also noted that cases should self-monitor their health at home for 14 days from the last day of visiting the above 6 epidemic areas, and follow the disease prevention instructions of the health sector: 1. Only leave the house when necessary. 2. Wear a mask when leaving home, at work, school, or at home. 3. Do not go to crowded places. 4. Limit contact, do not come into close contact with others. 5. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or an alcohol-based hand sanitizer. 6. Also keep a travel diary for at least 28 days from the last day of travel to the above areas. 7. In particular, self-monitor your health. If you have any signs of suspected Covid-19 such as fever, cough, difficulty breathing, etc., you must immediately report to the local health department or go to the district hospital for examination and re-screening. |
