If their Children's football team had to stop at the Quarterfinals, the Hoang Mai Town Youth football team has excellently defeated many championship candidates to play in the final match. They are eager to repeat the Championship achievement as they did in 2017.

In this year’s season, Hoang Mai town is in group B with Yen Thanh, Do Luong and Cua Lo town. This is considered the “death group” with championship candidates such as Yen Thanh and Do Luong.

In the first round, the team from the young town of Hoang Mai drew with Yen Thanh with a score of 3-3. In the second match, they also won easily against the team from Cua Lo town with a score of 2-0. In the last match of the group stage, they had a dramatic draw with their opponent in the final match, Do Luong, with a score of 5-5.

In the semi-final match that took place yesterday morning, they won against their brother Quynh Luu in the “Quynh Beach Derby” with a score of 5-3 to keep their hopes of winning the championship alive. Now, they are only 1 match away from the prestigious Cup.

In particular, Do Luong Youth is the most successful team in more than 20 years of participating in the Nghe An Newspaper Cup Youth - Children Football Tournament, with many championship titles through the seasons 2003, 2004, 2005, 2007, 2012, 2013. In the 20th season - 2016, Do Luong Youth won 3rd place. Currently, many of their players have been selected for the youth teams of Song Lam Nghe An Club.

In the same group B with Hoang Mai town, in the opening match, Do Luong crushed Cua Lo town 5-0. In the second match of the group stage, they were held to a goalless draw by Yen Thanh. In the final match, they had a 5-5 draw with Hoang Mai town to enter the Semi-finals as the second place in the group. In the Semi-final match that took place yesterday morning, Do Luong Youth excellently won against Hung Nguyen with a score of 2-0.

Determined to win the championship, both Do Luong Youth and Hoang Mai Town Youth are very cautious when evaluating their opponents. In addition to the championship trophy, both teams are competing for the best goalkeeper award. At the same time, players Ho Phuc An of Hoang Mai Town (6 goals) and Nguyen Xuan Nhat (5 goals) of Do Luong are also competing for the top scorer title.
