On the afternoon of September 5, Hai Ba Trung District Police announced that they had arrested Luong Van Son (15 years old) and continued to search for Duong Van Hoi (16 years old) to clarify the act of fraud and property appropriation.
In early August, Son and Hoi applied to work as security guards at a restaurant on Trieu Viet Vuong Street (Hanoi). On August 28, they both asked to quit but were not approved, so they were upset and plotted to steal property.
That same evening, when two customers came to the store, Son and Hoi introduced themselves as parking attendants and asked the customers to leave their keys so they could take their cars away and were accepted. When no one was looking, Son and Hoi drove the car to a pawn shop in Bach Mai ward and pawned it for 1.5 million VND.
The two then went into hiding in Ha Nam. A day later, Son was arrested while on his way to Hanoi. Hoi is still on the run.
