Rice prices today, September 20, 2024: Domestic market fluctuates. Raw rice prices decreased by 400 - 450 VND/kg and paddy prices increased slightly by 100 VND/kg.

In An Giang and Dong Thap, rice prices remain stable, supply is low but demand remains steady. In Sa Dec, the amount of rice arriving is less and the price has decreased compared to yesterday, warehouses only buy in small quantities and at low prices.
In Lap Vo, the amount of rice arriving remained unchanged, prices decreased, and warehouses only bought at lower prices. In An Cu, the rice supply was low, prices depended on quality, and there were many requests to buy from market warehouses.
In the market, the price of IR 504 Summer-Autumn rice is currently 10,300 - 10,500 VND/kg, down 400 - 450 VND/kg compared to yesterday, while the price of finished IR 504 rice is 13,000 - 13,200 VND/kg.
At retail markets, the prices of rice varieties remained unchanged, with Nang Nhen rice having the highest price of VND28,000/kg. Other types of rice such as Jasmine cost from VND18,000 to VND20,000/kg, Nang Hoa rice VND20,000/kg, and regular rice cost around VND15,000 to VND16,000/kg. Other types of rice such as long-grain fragrant rice, Jasmine rice, Taiwanese fragrant rice, common white rice, regular Soc rice, Thai Soc rice, and Japanese rice cost from VND17,000 to VND22,000/kg.

The sticky rice market remained unchanged from yesterday. Long An IR 4625 dry sticky rice was priced from 9,800 to 9,900 VND/kg. Long An 3-month dry sticky rice remained the same, from 9,800 to 10,000 VND/kg.
Prices of rice by-products fluctuated slightly, with broken rice OM 5451 currently priced at 8,500 to 8,600 VND/kg, down slightly by 100 to 200 VND.
Dry bran costs from 5,900 to 6,100 VND/kg, down 100 VND/kg.
Export rice price 9/20/2024
Vietnam's current rice export prices remain unchanged from yesterday, with prices as follows: 100% broken rice is $455/ton, 5% standard rice is $565/ton, and 25% broken rice is $535/ton.
