Pepper price today, December 25, 2024 remains unchanged during Christmas holidays in key provinces and cities, at 144,000 - 145,000 VND/kg.
Specifically, pepper prices in Dak Nong, Dak Lak and Ba Ria - Vung Tau provinces were purchased at 145,000 VND/kg.
Meanwhile, traders in Gia Lai, Binh Phuoc and Dong Nai are at 144,000 VND/kg.

According to the latest statistics, by the end of November, enterprises under the Vietnam Pepper Association (VPSA) had exported a total of 206,347 tons of pepper, a strong growth of 26% over the same period last year, dominating with 87.7% of Vietnam's total export output. In contrast, enterprises outside VPSA only exported 28,988 tons, a sharp decrease of 63.8%, and contributing only 12.3% of the proportion.
In the white pepper segment, businesses such as Nedspice, Olam, Phuc Sinh, Lien Thanh, and Tran Chau maintain leading positions with significant export output.
In the world market
At the end of the most recent trading session, the International Pepper Community (IPC) listed the price of Lampung black pepper (Indonesia) at 6,840 USD/ton, up 1.48% compared to the previous trading session.
Elsewhere, pepper prices generally did not record any new fluctuations. Brazilian ASTA 570 black pepper prices remained at $6,275/ton; Malaysian Kuching black pepper reached $8,400/ton.
Vietnam black pepper prices stand at 6,400 USD/ton for 500 g/l and 6,700 USD/ton for 550 g/l.
At the same time of survey, the price of Indonesian Muntok white pepper increased by 0.44% to 8,950 USD/ton.
While Malaysian ASTA white pepper is stable at 10,600 USD/ton; Vietnamese white pepper is 9,600 USD/ton.
Vietnam is currently affirming its position as one of the three leading countries in the world in the production and export of spices. According to statistics, the country has up to 35 pepper processing factories that meet international standards such as ISO, HACCP, BRC, ESA, ASTA, with an impressive total processing capacity of up to 140,000 tons/year.
Many factories in Vietnam have applied steam sterilization technology to process pepper, helping to improve the quality and added value of pepper products. Product lines such as ground black pepper, ground white pepper, pickled pepper, and freeze-dried pepper are increasingly accounting for a larger proportion of the export structure.
The proportion of processed pepper in Vietnam has increased from 15% to 25% and is expected to continue to grow strongly in the coming time.
