Thus, the gold bar price is 14.7 million VND/tael higher than the international gold price.
According to Kitco, the world gold price recorded at 6:00 a.m. on October 6, Vietnam time, was 3,884.78 USD/ounce. Converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank (26,420 VND/USD), the world gold price is about 123.7 million VND/tael (excluding taxes and fees).
At small shops, gold prices have increased significantly and are widening the gap compared to large gold companies.
Specifically, some gold shops reported the buying and selling price of SJC gold bars at 141 - 143 million VND/tael, an increase of about 4 million VND compared to the same period last week.
Gold prices are rising rapidly, far exceeding many initial predictions. Despite the impressive gains, most people expect gold prices to continue to rise next week. Some even believe that gold could approach $4,000 an ounce.
This positive sentiment is also reflected in the retail investor community. Results from an online poll of 253 participants showed that 74% predicted prices would rise, while 18% expected prices to fall, and the remaining 9% expected prices to remain flat.
