(Baonghean.vn) - After listening to the enticement of two women in Ky Son and Tuong Duong districts to work abroad with high salaries, in reality they were sold as wives. After failing to escape, they were arrested and beaten, and only when the authorities intervened were they rescued and reunited with their families.

On April 25, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police announced that it had successfully rescued three victims of human trafficking abroad. The victims were reunited with their families after a period of being sold in a foreign country.

The three rescued victims include: Vi Thi D (born in 1987), residing in Don Phuc commune, Con Cuong district; Vi Thi S (born in 2001) and Vi Thi M (born in 1978), both residing in Yen Na commune, Tuong Duong district. Vi Thi S and Vi Thi M are members of the same family.

Previously, in July 2018, the Criminal Police Department of Nghe An Province Police investigated and verified a human trafficking ring occurring in mountainous districts of Nghe An Province.

It was determined that Ms. Vi Thi D, residing in Don Phuc commune, Con Cuong district, was tricked by Vi Thi Chieu (born in 1992), residing in Dinh Yen village, Yen Hoa commune, Tuong Duong district, and sold abroad.

By March 2019, through a number of sources and especially from information provided by the family, the police determined that during the time she was sold abroad, Vi Thi D had escaped but was recaptured and is currently being locked up and severely beaten by the subjects.

The subjects demanded that if Vi Thi D wanted to return to Vietnam, her family must pay a large ransom for them to release her.
In the case of two sisters Vi Thi M and Vi Thi S, due to the enticement of a woman named Kim, residing in Ky Son district, Nghe An province, in early 2018 Vi Thi M agreed to go abroad to work with the promise of a high salary.

However, after a period of working, Vi Thi M was tricked and sold by Kim. Through social networks, Vi Thi M contacted her younger sister at home, Vi Thi S. When she learned that Vi Thi M was tricked and sold abroad, in early April 2019, Vi Thi S decided to go to pick her up, but when she got there, she was held back by the foreigners.

Because she had been tricked and trafficked across the border once and was rescued, Vi Thi S found a way to contact the Nghe An Provincial Police and ask for help.

After receiving information from Vi Thi D's family and Vi Thi S's contact, the police force quickly took action and deployed rescue plans. Nghe An police coordinated with the Blue Dragon organization, along with domestic and foreign forces to successfully find and rescue the victims.

The case is currently under further investigation by the authorities.
