Provincial Police Director inspects progress and directs the implementation of housing construction for poor households in Ky Son and Tuong Duong

On March 13, Major General Pham The Tung - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Director of Nghe An Provincial Police led a working delegation to inspect the progress and direct the implementation of housing construction for poor households and households with housing difficulties in Chieu Luu commune (Ky Son district) and Tam Hop commune (Tuong Duong district).

Also attending were Lieutenant Colonel Tran Ngoc Tuan - Deputy Director of the Provincial Police; leaders of Tuong Duong and Ky Son districts.

According to the Plan, the Ministry of Public Security and the Provincial Police will build 2,420 houses to support 2,420 poor people and people with housing difficulties in 6 border districts of Nghe An province (Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Con Cuong, Anh Son and Thanh Chuong).

Of which, 1,420 houses mobilized and supported by the Ministry of Public Security were distributed in 27 border communes of Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Con Cuong, Anh Son and Thanh Chuong districts; 1,000 houses mobilized and supported by the Provincial Police were distributed in the remaining communes of Ky Son, Tuong Duong and Que Phong districts with the following numbers: Ky Son: 500 houses, Tuong Duong: 300 houses, Que Phong: 200 houses.

Inspecting the actual progress of housing construction for poor households and households with housing difficulties in Ky Son and Tuong Duong districts, Major General Pham The Tung - Director of the Provincial Police Department acknowledged the efforts of local Party committees, authorities, grassroots police forces, investors, construction units, overcoming difficulties, focusing on leadership, direction, and speeding up progress.

The Provincial Police Director noted that the investor and the construction unit must learn from experience while working, and continue to strive to ensure the quality of the project to hand it over to poor households on schedule.

Major General Pham The Tung requested relevant units to seriously, resolutely and effectively organize the construction of 2,420 houses for the poor and people with difficult housing circumstances in 6 border districts, especially those with special difficulties in Nghe An province, according to the province's policies and directions, contributing to joining hands, accompanying and supporting people to overcome difficulties, eliminate hunger, reduce poverty, and actively participate in ensuring security and order on the border.

Units need to be determined to complete and hand over 1,000 houses in phase 1 before May 30 and the remaining 1,420 houses before August 19 as planned.
