(Baonghean.vn) - It has become a tradition that every dry season, soldiers of the Provincial Military Command's Gathering Team set out to find their comrades - those who heroically sacrificed their lives for the noble international mission in Laos.
Since 1984, the Provincial Military Command has searched and recoveredbrought back to the country for burial in cemeteries12,027 remainsmartyrs. In the dry season of 2016 - 2017 alone, the Provincial Military Command's Collection Team searched, exhumed and brought back to the country for a solemn burial of 107 remains, including 104 remains of martyrs who were Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who died in the Lao People's Democratic Republic. To date, 3 remains of martyrs have been identified and handed over to their families and localities. |
