Hundreds of people wade through the water searching for missing victims in the flood.
(Baonghean.vn) - Forces were mobilized along with local people to search for victims missing in the flood. However, after more than a day, the unfortunate victim has still not been found.
On August 18, people in Luu Thang village (Chieu Luu commune - Ky Son, Nghe An) were still searching for Moong Thi Tuyet (also known as Moong Me Tan) who was swept away by floodwaters.

According to relatives, at noon on August 17, because they were busy, Cut Van Thon's parents asked their uncle and his wife, Moong Van Loi and Moong Thi Tuyet, to pick up their child at Chieu Luu Secondary School for Ethnic Minorities. At around noon, when crossing the spillway between Xieng Thu and La Ngan villages, 5 people were swept away by floodwaters, including Loi and his son, Thon and Chich Thi Quang.

However, after drifting for a while, Moong Van Loi managed to grab onto a tree and save his son, Moong Van Cuong. Chich Thi Quang also escaped the flood. Tuyet and Thon were swept away and died. Cut Van Thon was later rescued by search forces, but Tuyet's body has yet to be found.

Mr. La Thanh Hue - Commune Team Leader of Chieu Luu Commune said: "Since yesterday, we have mobilized about 300 people to search along Thu stream but have not yet had any results. The stream water is high and flows strongly, so the search is very difficult. Today, we will organize a search from Xieng Thu village to Nam Mo river, if necessary, we will rent a boat to search."
