Hundreds of gifts in response to "Tet for the poor" in a border commune
(Baonghean.vn) - Hundreds of gifts worth nearly 200 million VND were given to people in Dooc May commune (Ky Son district, Nghe An) on January 18.

Traveling 300 km from Vinh City (Nghe An) to the border commune of Dooc May, the volunteer group led by Nghe An Provincial Youth Union, the Provincial Vietnam Youth Union in coordination with units including the provincial Border Guard, and the Nghe An Provincial Young Entrepreneurs Association delivered many meaningful gifts to the people of the border commune of Dooc May.
The gifts included 437 warm coats and 300 gifts for families in difficult circumstances. In addition, the volunteer group also organized medical examinations and provided medicine for 400 people in the commune.

A year-end meal was also organized for students in the commune. At the same time, 500 Tet Chung cakes were wrapped and delivered by the volunteer group to children and people in this mountainous area.

On the same day, Nghe An Provincial Youth Union also presented a gift to Na Loi Border Guard Station and a family of a martyr in Pha Lech Phay village (Dooc May commune).

The total value of the gifts is up to nearly 200 million VND. This is an activity in response to the "Tet for the poor" day in 2019 of Nghe An Provincial Youth Union and units to share difficulties with ethnic minorities in the highlands.
