Nghe An Provincial People's Council approved the investment policy for 3 projects in the health sector with a total capital of 478 billion VND.
(Baonghean.vn) - At the 8th Session, the 18th Nghe An Provincial People's Council passed a Resolution on investment policy for projects under the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program in the health sector with a total investment of 478 billion VND. This is the capital source from the Central budget allocated to Nghe An province from the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program in the health sector.

Comrades: Thai Thanh Quy - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the National Assembly Delegation, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Nam Dinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the meeting.
Attending the meeting were comrades: Nguyen Van Thong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Duc Trung - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Hoang Nghia Hieu - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee; delegates of the Provincial People's Council and leaders of departments, branches and localities.
Accordingly, 186 billion VND is allocated to implement the Investment Project to build new, upgrade and renovate the Medical Centers of the districts: Anh Son, Tan Ky, Quy Hop, Quy Chau and the General Hospitals of the districts: Dien Chau, Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong, Vinh City.

When completed, the above project will strengthen the infrastructure for 4 general hospitals and 4 district-level medical centers to improve the quality of medical examination and treatment and effectively implement the work of preventing and fighting complicated epidemics in the current period as well as in the long term, contributing to reducing overload for provincial and central hospitals.
Nghe An Provincial People's Council also approved the investment policy for the project to purchase equipment for the Nghe An Provincial Center for Disease Control (CDC) with a total investment of 55 billion VND.

49 types of equipment with a quantity of 56 devices will be equipped for CDC Nghe An to upgrade equipment, enhance the capacity of this unit in disease prevention and control in the whole province in the current period as well as in the long term.
With this investment, CDC Nghe An aims to become a unit with the capacity to test, examine and treat diseases, and monitor the working environment at a regional scale and level, meeting the requirements of testing and health care to serve the socio-economic development of Nghe An and the provinces of the North Central region.

Along with that, 237 billion VND of the central budget allocated to Nghe An province from the Socio-Economic Recovery and Development Program in the health sector has also been approved by the Provincial People's Council to serve the investment in purchasing equipment for 28 general hospitals and district-level medical centers in Nghe An province, to purchase and equip 72 types of equipment with a quantity of 6,270 devices.

This project is expected to be implemented in 2022-2023 at the Medical Centers of the following localities: Hoang Mai, Ky Son, Tuong Duong, Que Phong, Quy Chau, Quy Hop, Nghia Dan, Hung Nguyen, Cua Lo, Tan Ky, Anh Son, Nam Dan, Con Cuong, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Thanh Chuong, Thai Hoa, Do Luong, Vinh City and General Hospitals of the following localities: Do Luong, Dien Chau, Thanh Chuong, Quynh Luu, Yen Thanh, Vinh City, Nghi Loc.
