The Provincial People's Council will supervise the implementation of 16 resolutions on mechanisms and policies for socio-economic development.

On the afternoon of January 14, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council held a regular meeting for January 2020. The meeting spent time evaluating the January performance of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee. Accordingly, after the 12th session, the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee issued a notice concluding the question and answer session, issued and implemented the 2020 work program, and directed and coordinated the supervisory activities of the Provincial People's Council committees.

The Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council also monitored and urged the settlement of voters' opinions and recommendations via the online telephone line at the 12th session. Up to now, 4 units have responded and resolved in writing; 15 units have not yet reported or responded in writing. Regarding the settlement of petitions, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council has received 20 petitions, complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections from citizens; 20/20 petitions have been processed.

Notably, after receiving a document transferring the petition and urging from the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and relevant agencies, receiving feedback from households living in Plaza Vinh residential area, block 1, Quan Bau ward, Vinh city about not being granted a Land Use Right Certificate, the City People's Committee responded that it had resolved to grant the Land Use Right Certificate to the households.

Responding to a petition from some households in Nghi Long commune, Nghi Loc district, complaining about the process of site clearance for the project to upgrade and expand National Highway 1A, the district People's Committee said that it had established an inspection team and concluded that the complaint about the lack of land area was a false complaint, and the complaint about compensation for the area when implementing the project was partly right and partly wrong...

In 2019, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council received 331 petitions, complaints, denunciations, recommendations and reflections from citizens; directed the classification and transfer of 202 petitions and letters from citizens to competent agencies, and archived 128 petitions according to the provisions of law. 103 units have responded and reported in writing (reaching 51%), some units have many petitions and letters but have not reported the results of settlement such as: Vinh City, Dien Chau, Nghi Loc, Provincial Police...

Setting out key tasks for the end of January and February, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council will direct activities to celebrate the Party, celebrate the New Year of the Rat, visit and wish the people and armed forces a Happy New Year; coordinate to organize conferences to evaluate the results of implementing the Coordination Regulations between the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation and the Standing Committee of the Provincial Fatherland Front Committee in 2019; between the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council and the Provincial People's Committee...

At the meeting, the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Council also discussed and agreed to select 16 resolutions on mechanisms and policies issued by the Provincial People's Council that are still in effect for thematic supervision in 2020.

Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council Cao Thi Hien emphasized that the purpose of the supervision of the topic "implementation of a number of resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on mechanisms and policies for investment in socio-economic development in the province" is to re-evaluate and learn from the experience of issuing mechanisms and policies, as well as to recognize the effectiveness of implementation, thereby serving as a basis for summarizing the term of the Provincial People's Council.
