After two and a half days of active, enthusiastic and serious work with the spirit of innovation, democracy, intelligence and high responsibility, the 3rd session of the 17th Provincial People's Council completed the working program and held the closing session.

The 3rd session of the 17th Provincial People's Council focused on assessing the implementation of the socio-economic development, national defense and security plan in 2016. The session also spent time discussing in groups and in the hall the goals, targets and solutions for socio-economic development, national defense and security in 2016; pressing and prominent social issues in social life that need to be addressed by all levels and sectors.
The question and answer session for 3 sectors (Construction; Education - Training; Social Insurance) was innovated, improved in quality, demonstrating the responsibility and authority of the delegates and the responsibility of the sectors and provincial People's Council delegates before the voters of the province.
During the session, through the hotline, the Provincial People's Council received 102 calls from voters reflecting opinions and recommendations related to policies for people with meritorious services; granting land use right certificates; compensation, site clearance, resettlement; environmental pollution, etc.

Within the framework of the session, the 16th Provincial People's Council carried out personnel work under the authority of the Provincial People's Council, which was to dismiss and elect additional members of the Provincial People's Committee for the 2016-2021 term. The Provincial People's Council also voted to pass 32 important Resolutions on socio-economics, national defense and security and the resolution issuance program and supervision program of the Nghe An Provincial People's Council in 2017.
The 3rd session of the 17th Provincial People's Council was a great success. Speaking at the closing ceremony, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized: 2017 is a key year of great importance for the implementation of the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2016-2020 and the Resolution of the 18th Provincial Party Congress, term 2015-2020.

Therefore, it is recommended that the Provincial People's Committee urgently concretize the resolution of the Provincial People's Council, resolutely direct the implementation of the goals, targets and tasks of 2017; at the same time, it is necessary to make more efforts to overcome the shortcomings, limitations, concerns and outstanding issues proposed and recommended by the Provincial People's Council and voters of the province.
On the part of the Court, Procuracy, enforcement agencies, and investigation agencies, it is necessary to promote judicial reform activities and enhance public service responsibilities to protect the law, justice, human rights, and citizens' rights.
On the part of the Standing Committee, the Committees and the delegates of the Provincial People's Council actively performed their tasks within their authority, constantly improving the quality of the People's Council's activities, worthy of being the local state power agency, representing the will, aspirations and mastery of the people, contributing to the successful implementation of the 2017 socio-economic development plan.
