Coach Phan Nhu Thuat shares the important factor that helped Song Lam Nghe An reach the National Cup final after 8 years of waiting.
On the afternoon of June 26, at Vinh Stadium, Song Lam Nghe An had an impressive performance when they defeated Binh Duong Club with a score of 3-2 in the semi-finals of the 2024/25 National Cup. This is the first time in 8 years that the Nghe An team has won the right to play in the final match.

Entering the match with high spirits after officially staying in the V.League, Coach Phan Nhu Thuat's students entered the match with confidence. Michael Olaha was the one who brought the home team an early advantage with the opening goal.
However, Binh Duong showed that they were not easily defeated. The away team equalized 1-1 before the end of the first half. In the second half,Lam River Nghe Ancontinued to show effort with a goal to increase the score to 2-1, but once again Binh Duong leveled the score.
