The pitiful situation of the girl who drowned in Cua Nam Lake

Early morning of May 24, in a house about 40m², Mr. Luu Van Tinh, Ngoc Anh's father, sat at the entrance, his face showing no emotion because Mr. Tinh was not in a clear mind. Mr. Luu Van Tinh did not have a stable job, every day he wandered around Cua Nam ward and Vinh market to shine shoes, so his economic situation was very difficult.

The biological mother of Luu Thi Ngoc Anh sat absent-mindedly beside her daughter's hastily erected altar. Normally not in good health, she worked as a street vendor to make a living.

Due to the family's difficult circumstances, her parents could not afford to let her continue her education, so after finishing 5th grade at Cua Nam 1 Primary School, Luu Thi Ngoc Anh dropped out of school, although the school and benefactors often helped and supported her study expenses. Anh has an older brother who also dropped out of school and works freelance around Vinh market to make a living.

When Luu Thi Ngoc Anh drowned, while the authorities posted information looking for relatives, philanthropists donated money to take care of her funeral.

This morning (May 24), neighbors and relatives gathered to help the family with the funeral procedures. Some charity organizations and benefactors also came to pay their respects and raised more than 25 million VND to help the family cremate Anh's body at the Universe Crematorium in Ha Tinh.
