(Baonghean.vn) - Born with bad luck, now both mother and adoptive father passed away one after another, leaving him alone while studying in 7th grade. That is the pitiful situation of Tran Ba Huy (13 years old), residing in Trung Dong block, Nam Dan town.

We were at Huy's house one afternoon, in the big house, on his father's altar, incense smoke was still billowing.

Mr. Tran Ba Chien (58 years old) - Huy's uncle shared: at the end of December 2022, after a period of serious illness, Mr. Tran Ba Cong, his younger brother, breathed his last, leaving behind Huy - the adopted son that his brother's family loved very much.

According to Mr. Tran Ba Chien, his younger brother joined the military in Cam Ranh - Khanh Hoa. After returning home from the army, Mr. Cong got married twice but had no children. His first wife was a girl in the village, they lived together for nearly 10 years, then left him to remarry.

The second wife is Mrs. Pham Thi Phuong (born in 1965), from Nam Kim commune, a defense worker. The two lived together for many years, and finally decided to adopt a child to support them in their old age.

In 2010, Huy was born in a provincial hospital. The young mother, unable to raise the child, agreed to entrust him to Mr. Cong and his wife. When he was brought home as a newborn, Huy was named and cared for by Mr. Cong and his wife and siblings, becoming a source of joy and great hope for the family.

However, the joy of motherhood for Mrs. Pham Thi Phuong did not last long before disaster struck. During a heavy rain, she was struck by lightning while herding cows in the field. That year, Huy was only 4 years old. Mrs. Pham Thi Phuong passed away, leaving Mr. Tran Ba Cong as a single father.

That was already considered very unfortunate, but unexpectedly, Mr. Cong's family life became more and more miserable and difficult, when he suffered from many diseases at the same time: gout, osteomyelitis, kidney failure... causing him to be hospitalized, have surgery many times, blurred vision, weak legs, unable to walk, and having to use a wheelchair.

Mrs. Nguyen Thi Oanh (53 years old), wife of Mr. Tran Ba Chien, shared: Uncle Tran Ba Cong lived a gentle life but was very unhappy. When he was healthy, he ran around taking care of his children. When he had an adopted child, his wife died and he himself suffered from many illnesses. He passed away in pain and torment because his child was still young.

Mr. Tran Ba Chien recalled: “Before he passed away, my uncle told us to try to raise him to adulthood. We always considered him as our own son, worrying about his every meal and sleep. Before he had to do 50 days for his father, because we had to make offerings every day, he had to eat at home. Now, my family cooks for him. He sleeps at home at night, goes to school during the day, and goes to his uncle's house for meals.

Huy is currently studying in grade 7B at Nam Dan town secondary school. In the horizontal house, the outer room is where Mrs. Pham Thi Phuong is worshipped, the inner room is where Huy sleeps and studies.

He confided that he was very sad because he lacked the love of his biological parents, while his adoptive parents died early. The emotional loss greatly affected Tran Ba Huy's studies.

Teacher Le Thi Hoai, homeroom teacher of class 7B, said: Huy is a good and gentle student. Sympathizing with his situation, the class and the school's teachers' council also donated, helped, and encouraged him to try hard in his studies...

Being present at Tran Ba Huy's house, hearing relatives talk about the process of adopting him, the life and misfortunes of his adoptive parents as well as the pain of losing a loved one, the loneliness that he is experiencing, made many people unable to hold back their emotions.

Ms. Tran Thi Thuy (46 years old), from Nam Hung commune (Nam Dan) - a friend of Huy's parents, came to visit him and said in tears: "It's so pitiful for him, born without parental love, being taken care of by his adoptive parents but having to suffer the fate of an orphan. I think Huy's situation really needs the care and support of the community."

Talking about the wishes of his family, uncles and Huy, Mr. Le Ba Chien added: Although he is loved and supported by everyone, he is still living alone in a simple house.

With the many changes in your child's age, we are not really confident and hope that he will soon enter SOS Children's Village.
