Steering Committee for voluntary blood donation campaign in Anh Son districtCoordinated with Nghe An Provincial Hematology and Blood Transfusion Center to organize the second voluntary blood donation festival in 2019.

The voluntary blood donation festival attracted nearly 2,000 volunteers who are civil servants, public employees, union members in 12 communes and towns; 17 agencies, units and schools in the area. As a result, 690 units of blood were collected to provide to the Provincial Hematology Blood Transfusion Center.

More than 600 people were examined by doctors and nurses to screen for diseases related to the eyes, ears, nose, throat, cardiovascular system, bone and joint pain... Along with that, people were also instructed on how to prevent and fight some diseases to raise awareness in health care. The total cost of providing medicine to people in Quynh Tan commune was 80 million VND.

Ms. Vu Thi Binh is a single woman in extremely difficult circumstances. She raises two children alone. The family lives in a seriously degraded house. In that situation, the District Fund for Children in Extremely Difficult Circumstances supported 50 million VND, the District Fatherland Front Committee, the Women's Union and Quynh Thang Commune supported 20 million VND to help Ms. Binh build a new house.

Mr. Le Vo Quan's family, a poor household in the commune, has lived in a seriously degraded house for many years.
