'Studying and following Uncle Ho is not a lofty or grand task'

Commemorating the 50th anniversary of implementing President Ho Chi Minh's Testament (1969 - 2019) this morning (August 22) in Hanoi, the Party Committee of Central Agencies in coordination with the Party Committee of Central Enterprises and Communist Magazine organized the scientific workshop "Following the example of President Ho Chi Minh".

The workshop was attended by Mr. Vo Van Thuong - Member of the Politburo, Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Head of the Central Propaganda Department and many scientists. The workshop was organized to show the infinite respect of cadres, party members and workers in agencies who always look to Uncle Ho, vow to study, follow and follow his example.

60 thematic presentations by experts, scientists, managers, and full-time party workers in various professions, fields, and regions across the country all highlighted and clarified the arguments in President Ho Chi Minh's Testament on humane morality, simple style, and his exemplary spirit in building the Party and the political system, and on the role and practical value of setting an example for cadres and party members, especially heads of party committees at agencies and units.

At the same time, clarify the content of President Ho Chi Minh's "exemplary" ethics crystallized in his Testament and in his life and career; deepen the exemplary ethics of purity, simplicity, and influence, attracting cadres, party members, and people to learn and follow.

In terms of practice, it highlights the results and achievements, and new issues to effectively implement the example of President Ho Chi Minh in conjunction with the implementation of Directive 05 of the Politburo on promoting the study and following of Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and lifestyle. The above is the basis for analyzing and clarifying the theoretical value and practical results of following the example of President Ho Chi Minh according to his Testament.

Professor, Doctor Hoang Chi Bao - former member of the Central Theoretical Council affirmed that Uncle Ho's life was very rich, noble, dedicated and sacrificed for the country and the people.

Ho Chi Minh's modesty, honesty, simplicity, altruism and tolerance are a whole system of values ​​that we need to perceive and pursue to practice in life with ourselves, with people and with work.

"Uncle Ho advised party members to criticize the work, not the person, which means that he respected the personality of each person. No matter how angry he was, he just kept silent. He did not want to hurt others with harsh words. This was his very refined cultural behavior," said Professor Hoang Chi Bao.

A very special thing is that President Ho Chi Minh not only put forward very correct thoughts and viewpoints on setting an example, but he himself was also the most beautiful embodiment of the responsibility of setting an example before the Party and the people. The exemplary style in President Ho Chi Minh's thoughts and moral example was shown throughout his entire life of revolutionary activities, striving and sacrificing for the independence and freedom of the Fatherland, for the happiness of the people.

Speaking at the workshop, Mr. Son Minh Thang - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Agencies Bloc said that it is necessary to make studying and following his revolutionary moral example a cultural and voluntary need, a driving force for self-cultivation and training of every cadre, party member and people.

This is an important and regular task of party organizations, authorities at all levels, socio-political organizations, localities and units, associated with fighting against degradation in political ideology, ethics, lifestyle and manifestations of "self-evolution" and "self-transformation" within the organization.

"We must clearly realize that studying and following Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality and style is not a lofty or grandiose task, but is very close, practical, and closely linked to political tasks and daily life" - Mr. Son Minh Thang emphasized and said that pThe motto to be implemented is “above first, below last”; “inside first, outside last”; learning goes hand in hand with following, focusing on following through specific, practical, and effective actions and deeds.
