Within the framework of the conference, the Executive Committee of the Provincial Journalists Association evaluated the results of activities in 2022, deployed tasks in 2023 and planned to organize the Spring Press Festival of Quy Mao.

According to the report, the opinions of the delegates and the conclusion of the conference chair, 2022 is considered a year of many successes and achievements for the Nghe An Provincial Journalists Association. Despite many difficulties due to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic and the general economic situation, the Association's activities have achieved many remarkable results in all aspects.

The monthly Press Conference is maintained seriously. Thereby, timely evaluation and comment on the results of press activities in the month, pointing out the limitations of press agencies, reporters, and members in performing professional tasks, as well as implementing the 10 regulations on professional ethics.

The Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, the Journalists' Association, and other agencies and departments closely coordinate in directing, providing, and orienting information to press agencies. The issues reflected by the press are compiled and reported by the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to the Standing Committee, the Provincial Party Committee's Standing Committee, the leaders of the Provincial People's Committee, and departments, departments, and branches for timely inspection and handling.

The Executive Committee of the Association has strengthened professional training, encouraged journalists and members to participate in central and local press awards. The Journalists Association, in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and the Department of Information and Communications, has performed the role of supervising, criticizing, and strictly handling press agencies and member journalists who operate contrary to their principles and purposes, publish false information, unverified information, causing public confusion, affecting the building of national solidarity, promptly criticizing shortcomings and shortcomings, especially acts of bureaucracy, corruption, waste, abuse of power, and issues that cause public outrage, thereby contributing many opinions and proposing remedial measures.

In 2022, in coordination with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, the Department of Information and Communications, Hoang Mai Town and press agencies, successfully organized the Nham Dan Spring Press Festival and awarded the Nghe An Golden Hammer and Sickle Press Award 2021.

As a member of the 2022 North Central Provinces Journalists' Association Emulation Cluster, Nghe An Journalists' Association sent nearly 200 newspaper and magazine publications to participate in the exhibition booth at the 2022 National Press Festival held in Hanoi.

Coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to launch and award the 2021 Golden Hammer and Sickle Journalism Award, and launch and implement the 2022 Nghe An Golden Hammer and Sickle Journalism Award.

In addition, coordinate with the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to conduct professional training on the topic of Party building; organize the 2022 Golden Hammer and Sickle Award; establish a selection committee for excellent press works to participate in the 2021 National Press Award; coordinate with the People's Committee of Cua Lo town to organize a press writing contest on Cua Lo Tourism in 2022; coordinate with the Nghe An Farmers' Association to launch the art press photo contest "Nghe An farmers follow Uncle Ho's advice"; coordinate with the Provincial Labor Federation to organize the first press writing contest on the workers' movement and workers' activities in Nghe An province in 2022-2023.

In celebration of the 97th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the Standing Committee and Executive Committee of the Association successfully organized the Journalists' Association Cup Football Tournament.

In 2022, in response to the program "Tet for the poor", the Provincial Journalists Association mobilized branches, resident press agencies in the area and the Provincial Journalists Association to support money and give hundreds of gifts to poor households and disadvantaged students in the whole province. In particular, people affected by flash floods in the mountainous districts of Tuong Duong and Ky Son received 01 house worth 60 million VND, 32 gifts worth 1 million VND each and 300 multi-purpose life jackets worth 75 million VND.

The conference also listened to and discussed a number of solutions to current problems such as creating conditions for issuing membership cards on the basis of ensuring compliance with the Law and the Association's Charter; organizing more exchange and learning sessions for members.

The conference agreed on a plan to organize the Opening Ceremony of the Spring Newspaper Festival of Nghe An province in 2023 and award the "Golden Hammer and Sickle - Nghe An in 2022". Accordingly, the Spring Newspaper Festival of Quy Mao is expected to be held from January 8 to 11 (ie from January 17 to 11).December 20th of the Lunar calendar) at the Press Center - Nghe An Newspaper.
