Removing difficulties for night streets
The Cao Thang night street project was invested and officially put into operation from October 2, 2019 with the expectation of creating a highlight for Vinh urban space at night. The formation of the night street also aims to promote economic development and create a commercial, cultural and entertainment exchange point for city residents and visitors from near and far.
Besides the positive effects, the operation of the night street is showing many limitations. This is also an issue raised by many delegates of the City People's Council within the framework of the program of the 11th session of the Vinh City People's Council.

Solving environmental problems
Concerned about the living environment of people on both sides of Vinh ancient citadel moat, delegate Vo Tuan Anh - Chairman of Doi Cung Ward People's Committee reflected the current situation of heavily polluted water in the ancient citadel moat, the water is black and smells bad.
Besides, the sand under the ancient citadel moat is deposited, occupying all the water storage area and the drainage in the ancient citadel moat is also inadequate.
From that reality, delegate Vo Tuan Anh proposed that the People's Council and the City People's Committee inspect and determine the cause, especially checking the function of some items that do not meet the original design, causing inadequacies and environmental pollution in the ancient citadel moat as it is now, in order to have a plan to promptly remedy the situation, associated with handling environmental pollution here.

Another environmental issue mentioned by delegates is the unreasonable arrangement of trolley collection points and garbage collection points in the city. Delegate Nguyen Quang Viet - Secretary of the Party Committee of Hung Phuc Ward said that currently in the ward there are 7 parking and garbage collection points.
Although the collection and assembly of garbage at these 7 locations is carried out outside of business hours, it is not always outside of business hours; on the other hand, the collection and transportation process does not completely handle environmental pollution at these locations, affecting people's lives.

Delegate Nguyen Quang Viet said that Vinh city is making efforts to build a civilized, green - clean - beautiful urban area and the first thing to pay attention to is finding a solution to overcome this situation.
In addition, some delegates also proposed that the People's Council and the People's Committee of the city allocate funds to dredge the drainage system throughout the city. Currently, many canals are clogged with soil, sand, and garbage, and the distance between the canals and the ground is only 20 cm in many places.
This is the cause of flooding in the city when it rains. If the city does not allocate resources to implement this content, it will be very difficult for wards and communes to implement it when their revenue is limited.
