The Provincial People's Council supervises the implementation of new rural areas in Nam Dan district.
Working with the People's Committee of Nam Dan district, comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council requested the locality to continue to direct well the new rural construction movement, with the viewpoint that there is no stopping point.
Implementing the topic of the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee, on the morning of June 6, the Provincial People's Council Standing Committee supervised the implementation of the National Target Program on New Rural Development in Nam Dan district. Comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Member of the Provincial Party Committee, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council was the head of the delegation.
Working with the delegation, on behalf of the People's Committee of Nam Dan district, there was comrade Nguyen Hong Son - Deputy Secretary of the District Party Committee, Chairman of the District People's Committee and representatives of departments and branches.
The delegation's supervision content is the implementation of central and provincial regulations; the issuance of directive and administrative documents related to the National Target Program on new rural construction of Nam Dan district.
Nam Dan strives to achieve advanced new rural district standards
Before working with the District People's CommitteeNam Dan, the actual monitoring delegation in Nam Giang commune, one of the communes that has achieved the model new rural standards in Nam Dan district, has well implemented the contents in building new rural areas. Here, the delegation visited and learned about the production situation of soy sauce products at Ha Chung soy sauce production facility, which achieved 3 OCOP stars; surveyed Eo Gio Ecotourism Area which has been recognized by the province as an ecotourism destination; Cultural Houses of hamlets 2 and 6 have been invested in and built spaciously with the support capital of the district, commune and the contributions of the people.
The report of the District People's Committee said that from 2021 to now, Nam Dan district has effectively implemented the resolutions of the Provincial People's Council on a number of policies in building new rural areas in the province in the period of 2021-2025 and a number of specific mechanisms and policies to support Nam Dan district in socio-economic development in the period of 2021-2025.
In particular, implementing Decision No. 17/QD-TTg dated January 4, 2019 of the Prime Minister on approving the pilot project "Building Nam Dan district, Nghe An province to become amodel new rural districtIn the direction of developing culture associated with tourism, in the period of 2018-2025", Nam Dan district has actively implemented tasks, focusing on completing rural infrastructure systems, tourism connection infrastructure, promoting the movement of building "Bright - Green - Clean - Beautiful" hamlets, building standard gardens, new rural model gardens to create clean, beautiful rural landscapes, with suitable green spaces, attracting tourists.
In the period of 2021-2023, Nam Dan district was recognized as having 15 communes meeting advanced new rural standards and 7 model new rural communes. Up to now, the district has met 7/9 criteria, 35/39 contents of advanced new rural districts; 40/42 contents meeting model new rural district standards. Up to now, the whole district has had 69 products achieving OCOP stars (9 4-star products, 60 3-star products).
In addition to the achieved results, Nam Dan district still faces some difficulties and shortcomings in implementing the new rural construction movement: The work of merging hamlets and communes has encountered difficulties, greatly affecting the implementation of the set goals; On the other hand, the budget revenue of the district and communes is still low; attracting investment and mobilizing social resources has not met the needs of investment development and implementation of goals, while the State's investment resources are still limited.
Through this, the People's Committee of Nam Dan district requested the province to pay attention to guiding Nam Dan district to complete the dossier and report to the Central Government for recognition of the district as meeting advanced new rural standards in 2024.
New rural construction has no stopping point
Working with the People's Committee of Nam Dan district, comrade Nguyen Nhu Khoi - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council accepted the proposed opinions of Nam Dan district, acknowledged and highly appreciated the high results that Nam Dan district has achieved in implementing the National Target Program on new rural construction in the period of 2021 - 2023: Many OCOP products are of high quality and have brands; traffic infrastructure is invested synchronously...
At the same time, it is recommended that the locality continue to direct the construction of new rural areas with the view that there is no stopping point. The most important issue is the quality of each criterion, aiming to improve the sustainable life of the people. As a locality with advantages in tourism development, the locality needs to constantly improve the quality of OCOP products, in order to increase the income of the people.
Nam Dan district also needs to pay attention to clean and safe agricultural products. The locality needs to re-evaluate the operation of cooperatives in the district.
Although the village cultural house in the area has been invested in, it is necessary to invest in a playground for children in the village cultural house. Nam Dan district also needs to create a stop for tourists to visit and enjoy the cultural beauty.
