Provincial Women's Union implements Action Program

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 27, the Provincial Women's Union held a conference to deploy the action program to implement the resolution of the 15th Nghe An Provincial Women's Congress for the 2016-2021 term.

Representatives of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Women's Union, relevant departments, branches and key women's officials of 21 districts and cities attended.

Comrade Le Thi Tam delivered the opening speech at the conference.

Speaking at the opening of the conference, comrade Le Thi Tam, member of the Party Executive Committee, President of the Provincial Women's Union affirmed: This is a conference of great importance to evaluate the results achieved in the activities of the association in recent years. At the same time, deploy tasks in 2017 and the following years. On that basis, the association at all levels will develop an activity program and register competition content suitable to local conditions for implementation.

In addition, the conference also approved the Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 15th Congress of Nghe An Women's Delegates for the 2016-2021 term.

The main goal is to innovate and improve the quality of the organization's activities, effectively perform its representative functions, protect the legitimate and legal rights and interests of women; mobilize women of all walks of life to participate in economic development, improve the material and spiritual life of women; and build Nghe An women who are "healthy, knowledgeable, dynamic, creative, and responsible to the community".

The conference will last for 1 day. On this occasion, the Provincial Women's Union will also summarize Project 2059 "Propaganda, mobilization and support for women in remote and mountainous areas to participate in economic development and sustainable poverty reduction in the period 2013 - 2016"; report on the activities of the TYM fund in 2016 and activities in 2017.
