Scientific seminar: 'Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai with the Vietnamese revolution and her homeland Nghe An'

Speaking at the welcoming ceremony of the Workshop, Comrade Thai Thanh Quy - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee reviewed the life and revolutionary career ofComrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai- a shining example of the qualities and personality of an exemplary communist soldier, loyal to the Party and devoted to the people; skillfully combining true patriotism with pure internationalism; intact marital love and sacred maternal love.

During her revolutionary career, comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai was an example of perseverance and steadfastness, never retreating in the face of danger, never surrendering in the face of the enemy; always maintaining her revolutionary faith, dedicating her whole life to the Party and the cause of national liberation, always putting the interests of the revolution above her personal life and family happiness.

"The great contributions of comrades have contributed to making our country and people famous, adding to the glorious history and tradition of our homeland Nghe An" - Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee emphasized.

Promoting the revolutionary tradition of the heroic Soviet homeland and learning from the example of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, the Party Committee and People of Nghe An have made many worthy contributions to the cause of national liberation struggle, building and defending the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.

Comrade Thai Thanh Quy affirmed: Through the workshop, we will contribute to enriching and deepening the life, honoring the great contributions of Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai to the revolutionary cause of our Party and People; better understanding and pride in the historical and cultural traditions of Nghe An land and people.

In his opening speech and introduction to the Workshop, Comrade Nguyen Xuan Thang - Secretary of the Party Central Committee, Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, Chairman of the Central Theoretical Council emphasized: Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - former member of the Southern Regional Party Committee, Secretary of the Saigon - Cho Lon City Party Committee is one of the typical senior leaders of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution. The loyal and exemplary female communist soldier has strived and sacrificed her whole life for the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

“The life and revolutionary career of Comrade is an extremely beautiful and typical symbol of the heroic, indomitable, loyal and self-sacrificing spirit of Vietnamese women, a heroic woman in the struggle for national independence and the happiness of the people” - Secretary of the Party Central Committee Nguyen Xuan Thang said.

The Director of the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics suggested that at the Workshop, delegates focus on clarifying the following contents: Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - a talented female leader of the Party and the Vietnamese revolution; an example of a loyal and indomitable communist, representing the fine traditions of Vietnamese women; an outstanding daughter of Nghe An homeland.

HOMETOWN AND FAMILY TRADITIONS CULTIVATING PATRIOTISM AND FORMULATING REVOLUTIONARY SPIRIT

The Organizing Committee received more than 40 reports and speeches from Party and State leaders, representatives of central agencies, ministries, branches, unions, Nghe An province, Ho Chi Minh City and many scientists from many different fields.

The workshop directly listened to 10 profound and passionate presentations from the delegates. Speaking at the workshop, Comrade Ha Thi Nga - Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the Vietnam Women's Union presented the presentation: Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - an example of a resilient and indomitable woman. Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Dinh Phong - Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics with the presentation: Activities and contributions of Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai in the years 1931 - 1934;...

On behalf of the leaders of Nghe An province, comrade Nguyen Xuan Son - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council presented a speech: Nghe An Party Committee and People study and follow the example of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai.

The Standing Deputy Secretary of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee affirmed: Promoting the tradition of the Soviet homeland, learning from and following the example of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai, the Party Committee and People of Nghe An vow to unite with the spirit of innovation and creativity, turning the will of our ancestors not to accept slavery into the aspiration to overcome poverty and backwardness.

Speaking at the Workshop, the representative of Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai’s family expressed their gratitude to the Organizing Committee for organizing a meaningful Workshop; at the same time, they shared more stories about Comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai’s revolutionary life while in Vinh, and memories with her relatives. Thereby affirming that all generations of descendants strive to preserve and promote family traditions.

Summarizing and closing the Workshop, comrade Phan Xuan Thuy - Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department assessed that from many different approaches, delegates and scientists focused on analyzing, explaining, and clarifying the Workshop's topic.

In particular, many papers have deeply analyzed the influence of hometown and family traditions on fostering patriotism and forming the revolutionary spirit of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai.

In addition, some papers focused on clarifying the important contributions of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai in the movement to establish the Communist Party of Vietnam; as well as deeply analyzing her activities and contributions during her years of working abroad; in the revolutionary movement in 1938-1939 in Saigon.

Another important content that delegates focused on at the Workshop was the shining moral example, communist soldier Nguyen Thi Minh Khai - a symbol of a loyal, indomitable and emotional Vietnamese woman; and at the same time an outstanding daughter of her homeland Nghe An.

The workshop is a practical activity to contribute to clarifying the rich revolutionary life, talented revolutionary qualities and noble revolutionary ethics of comrade Nguyen Thi Minh Khai.

This is also a practical act expressing the deep gratitude of today's generations for the great contributions of comrade to the revolutionary cause of the Party, the Vietnamese people and his homeland Nghe An.

The workshop also contributes to promoting the propaganda of patriotism and educating revolutionary traditions for all classes of people, especially cadres, party members, and the young generation, practically contributing to the cause of building and firmly protecting the socialist Vietnamese Fatherland.
