Workshop 'The role of family, clan, and school in building a learning society in Nghe An province'
On the morning of November 20, in Vinh city, the Department of Culture and Sports organized a workshop on "The role of family, clan, and school in building a learning society in Nghe An province".
Attending the Conference, on the Central side, there were comrade Nguyen Huu Gioi - Chairman of Vietnam Library Association; Associate Professor, Dr. Phan Mau Canh - Faculty of Foreign Languages, Phuong Dong University.
On the side of Nghe An province, there were comrade Tran Thi My Hanh - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports; representatives of departments, branches, provincial units and scientists and researchers inside and outside the province.

In her opening speech at the Workshop, comrade Tran Thi My Hanh - Director of the Department of Culture and Sports stated: Nghe An - a land of talented people, hastradition of learning, considering learning as the foundation for all success, all victories. During his lifetime, when talking to long-time party members, President Ho Chi Minh confided: "I am 71 years old this year, I have to study every day... If I don't study, I won't be able to keep up, work will leave me behind."
Nowadays, the Party and State always pay attention and create conditions for people to be able to study anywhere, anytime and in any circumstances.

Pursuant to Decision No. 1315/QD-TTg dated November 9, 2023 of the Prime Minister promulgating the Plan to implement the Movement "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promote lifelong learning in the period 2023 - 2030"; Directive No. 26-CT/TU dated December 20, 2023 of the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee on promoting the work of encouraging learning, encouraging talents, building a learning society in the period 2023 - 2030, on January 4, 2024, the Provincial People's Committee issued Plan 02/KH-UBND to implement the Movement "The whole country competes to build a learning society, promote lifelong learning in the period 2023 - 2030" in Nghe An province.

In order to clarify, understand and raise awareness from state agencies, unions, social organizations, businesses to the whole society about the meaning and importance of buildinglearning societyIn the contemporary period, the Department of Culture and Sports organized a workshop on "The role of family, clan, and school in building a learning society in Nghe An province".

The workshop aimed to evaluate and affirm the role of family, clan, and school in building a learning society in Nghe An province, and to propose solutions to maintain and promote the tradition of studiousness and build a lifelong learning social environment.
Thereby, spreading good traditional values, creating strong changes in patriotic education, traditional education and national history, contributing to building cultural people and cultural families, meeting the requirements of integration and development.

The workshop gathered 26 opinions, focusing on the following contents: Position and role of family, clan, school in building a learning society; advantages and difficulties in building a learning society; good practices onencourage learning, encourage talent, building a learning clan; solutions to promote the role of family, clan, and school in building a learning society; promoting initiatives to build models for developing a learning culture in libraries, museums, cultural centers, cultural houses, etc.

In his concluding remarks, Associate Professor Dr. Phan Mau Canh - Phuong Dong University suggested that the Organizing Committee of the Conference should summarize the issues proposed and recommended by researchers and scientists to help the Provincial People's Committee and relevant agencies develop policies, plans and directions in the work of building a learning society in Nghe An province in the coming time.
