Delegates will vote to elect the Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly, and members of the Standing Committee of the 13th National Assembly by secret ballot this afternoon.

On the morning of July 21, after the National Assembly voted to approve the Resolution on the number of Vice Chairmen and members of the National Assembly Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the 13th National Assembly Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan, on behalf of the National Assembly Standing Committee, read the Report on the proposed personnel for the National Assembly to elect the Chairman of the National Assembly, Vice Chairmen of the National Assembly, and members of the National Assembly Standing Committee.

The election of the above positions will take place at the end of the working session in the afternoon of the same day by secret ballot.

The voting results will be announced during the morning session of February 22. The Chairman of the 14th National Assembly will be sworn in. The swearing-in ceremony will be broadcast live to voters nationwide.

Other positions that must also take oaths upon taking office under the 2013 Constitution are the President, Prime Minister and Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court. The above positions are expected to be elected on July 25, 26 and 27, respectively.
