More than 30 Nghe An agricultural products have been labeled with traceability labels.

(Baonghean.vn) - On the morning of December 19, in Vinh City, a workshop was held to establish a business network and apply traceability of goods; Solutions to improve competitiveness and facilitate trade for businesses.

The workshop was attended by over 40 members, representing businesses, cooperatives, and craft villages in the province.

The workshop content is divided into 2 parts, the first part took place on the morning of December 19 discussing solutions to trace the origin of agricultural products, creating favorable conditions for business.

At the workshop, Associate Professor Dr. Nguyen Quoc Thinh - Head of Brand Management Department - University of Commerce presented the benefits of tracing the origin of goods and the process of tracing product labels, emphasizing that tracing not only helps to know the origin of products, build consumer trust but also helps to boost exports, increase product value, which is a mandatory condition if the product wants to "reach new heights".

Currently, in the province, there are more than 30 products that have been labeled with traceability labels. As a result, farmers' products are consumed more strongly, affirming their quality, brand, reputation and bringing economic efficiency. Some products include Vinh oranges, Van Phan fish sauce, Sa Nam soy sauce, ATC clean mushrooms, guava, Nghia Dan avocado, grapefruit, mu tun wine, Con Cuong orange wine, Thanh Chuong chicken, ham, Con Cuong vegetables and fruits....

It is expected that in 2019, about 10 other agricultural products in the area, including some products from the Western Nghe An biosphere reserve, will be labeled with traceability labels.
