More than 300 athletes participate in Nghe An Traditional Martial Arts Championship
(Baonghean.vn) - On October 13, at Quang Trung Temple, Vinh City, the opening ceremony of the 2018 Nghe An Province Traditional Martial Arts Championship for all ages, Emperor Quang Trung Cup, took place.
The traditional martial arts tournament for all ages in Nghe An province was held as part of a series of activities to celebrate the 230th anniversary of Emperor Quang Trung's decree to build the Phoenix Citadel in Trung Do (October 1, 1788 - October 1, 2018).
With the aim of diversifying and enriching the activities in the celebration program, at the same time, through the tournament, continue to propagate and mobilize people to effectively implement the movement "All people practice physical training following the example of great Uncle Ho" to improve health, the will to practice and cultivate morality, love for the country and people; preserve martial arts culture and develop the people's training movement.
This is an opportunity for martial arts schools, clubs and central martial arts centers to perform the quintessence and diverse techniques of Nghe An traditional martial arts.
The tournament has the participation of more than 300 athletes from 27 martial arts clubs in and outside the province. The athletes will compete for 75 different sets of medals in the following categories: Boxing, weapons, combat and sparring.
