More than 5,000 photography enthusiasts compete at Canon PhotoMarathon 2015

On October 17, at Military Zone 7 Stadium, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, more than 5,000 people gathered to participate in the Canon PhotoMarathon 2015 contest.

This is the 10th year Canon has organized this contest in Vietnam for photography enthusiasts.

Canon PhotoMarathon is a contest open to everyone, of all nationalities living in Vietnam, with no restrictions on experience, age, or photography equipment from any brand…

This year, participating in Canon PhotoMarathon, each contestant will receive 3 topics at different times and carry out the topics, then submit photos to the Organizing Committee.

The judges will evaluate the works not only focusing on photographic technique but also on the contestants' creativity and ability to communicate through images.

However, to win this competition, contestants will have to demonstrate their observation skills, creativity and quick wit to create the most outstanding works under time pressure.

The grand prize winner of the contest will enjoy an all-inclusive Photo Clinic trip to Japan along with talented winners from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Cambodia and Thailand.

In addition, the winner of this special prize will also receive a Canon EOS 6D camera and a PIXMA iP7270 photo printer.

In addition to the above special prize, the contest also awarded 1 first prize, 1 second prize, and 1 third prize for each contest theme. The first prize includes 1 EOS 750D Kit 18-55mm camera and 1 Canon PIXMA E460 photo printer.

Second prize includes 1 EOS 700D Kit 18-55mm digital camera and 1 Canon PIXMA E460 photo printer. Third prize includes 1 EOS 1200D Kit 18-55mm digital camera and 1 Canon PIXMA E460 photo printer.

After 10 years, up to now, Canon PhotoMarathon has received more than 87,000 photos sent from nearly 30,000 participants.

The contest has gradually become an indispensable annual playground for the professional and amateur photography community to exchange, learn, experience and compete./.
