More than 50kg of monkey and wild boar meat 'traveled at night' to Vinh for consumption

(Baonghean.vn) - The working group of the Nghe An Police Department's Mobile Police Department has just discovered and seized 26 kg of wild boar meat and 25 kg of frozen monkey meat of unknown origin on the road to Vinh City for consumption.

At around 11pm on August 17, while on duty in the area of ​​Nguyen Van Troi Street in Ben Thuy Ward, the working group of the Provincial Police Department's Mobile Police Department received a report from the public that a young man was driving a motorbike, carrying a styrofoam box on the vehicle, suspected of transporting contraband goods.

Immediately after that, the task force stopped the vehicle for an administrative inspection and discovered 26kg of wild boar meat and 25kg of frozen monkey meat in the container. All of the above goods did not have valid documents.

According to the driver's testimony, Mr. Dinh Quang Trung (born in 1993), residing in Huong Khe town, Ha Tinh province, this amount of meat was purchased from Huong Son district and brought to Vinh city for consumption.

Currently, the above goods have been handed over to the authorities for handling in accordance with the provisions of law.
