Con Cuong district hands over houses to poor households using unburnt brick technology

On the afternoon of December 4, Con Cuong district held a ceremony to accept and hand over a "charity house" made of unburnt brick technology to two poor households in Bach Son village, Cam Lam commune.

Attending the event were comrade Truong Thiet Hung - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; On the side of Con Cuong district, there were comrade Nguyen Hoai An - Secretary of Con Cuong District Party Committee and leaders of the District Party Committee, People's Committee and departments and branches of Con Cuong district.

Cam Lam is a remote commune of Con Cuong district, located on the left bank of Lam river, mainly inhabited by Thai ethnic people. Bach Son village is 7 km away from the commune center, traffic is difficult, the poverty rate is 40%.

To help poor households here build houses, Con Cuong district leaders called on Hanoi University of Construction, Ho Chi Minh Museum Construction Joint Stock Company and other sponsors to provide funding, and transfer technology, equipment and techniques for producing unburnt bricks such as: A system of 5 manual brick making machines, 1 mixer, 1 grinder and local soil powder binder additives.

Cam Lam Commune People's Committee also established a production team to directly receive production technology from July 2024. After 45 days, the production team took advantage of hilly land and uncultivable land in the village and completed 6,333 unburnt clay bricks; at the same time, mobilized forces to start building 2 houses for 2 poor households.

After more than 3 months of construction, the 2 houses were completed, accepted and handed over to 2 poor households, Mr. Lo Van Thiu and Mr. Lo Van Mao.

The house is built with unburnt brick technology, making use of available land resources, saving on transportation and construction material costs, being close to nature, and suitable for the local climate, helping poor households stabilize their lives./.
