Tuong Duong district pays tribute to the golden hearts who helped the Cham Puong villagers

Night of July 13, 2021, when theCham PuongLuong Minh commune has 3 people infected with Covid-19 and must be locked down to drastically implement anti-epidemic measures. Tuong Duong district has determined that it is necessary to ensure that all people here have enough food to stabilize their lives.

Cham Puong village has 190 Khmu households, with 970 people, living standards are very low, with over 75% of households being poor. Meanwhile, Tuong Duong is district 30a, with many difficulties. Therefore, the Party Committee, government, and Fatherland Front from district to commune level of Tuong Duong district have implemented the Appeal Letter "All people participate in supporting the prevention and fight against Covid-19 epidemic" of the Tuong Duong district Fatherland Front Committee; calling on and mobilizing cadres, agencies, units, businesses, philanthropists, and people from all walks of life inside and outside the district to support money, goods, and necessities to help the people of Cham Puong village, Luong Minh commune,prevention of Covid-19 epidemic.

On July 17, 2021, when the working group of Nghe An Newspaper handed over 7 tons of food and essential goods to the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuong Duong district to support the Cham Puong people, this 30a mountain district also received many kind hearts.

In the list updated by the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuong Duong district, provincial agencies supporting Tuong Duong include: Provincial Covid-19 Prevention and Control Steering Committee, Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee, Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department, Ethnic Committee, Provincial Military Command; Provincial Border Guard Command; Provincial Association for the Protection of the Disabled; district-level units include: Vinh City, Ky Son, Thanh Chuong, Quynh Luu, Nam Dan, Do Luong, Nghi Loc, Nghia Dan, Anh Son. Along with that are dozens of commune-level units, organizations, businesses, schools, and many households and individuals.

Regarding food and necessities, Tuong Duong district received 38,330 kg of rice, 4,330 boxes of instant noodles, 2,716 kg of peanuts, 4,489 kg of vegetables, tubers and fruits; 200 kg of fresh frozen sea fish; 138 kg of dried fish, 725 liters of fish sauce; 136 boxes of milk; 212 cans of condensed milk; 7,250 duck and chicken eggs; 1,638 boxes of masks, 1,357 splash shields, 699 bottles of antiseptic water... In addition, it also received a donation of 181,700,000 VND.

Immediately after receiving food, provisions and necessities, Tuong Duong district urgently distributed them to the Cham Puong people and the centralized quarantine area. The total amount of food, provisions and necessities delivered to these places included: 11,010 kg of rice; 596 boxes of instant noodles; 524 kg of peanuts; 371 boxes of masks, 762 splash shields; 368 bottles of antiseptic water; 4,489 kg of vegetables and fruits; 188 liters of fish sauce; 34 cartons of milk; 1,270 duck and chicken eggs... At the same time, 38.2 million VND was also distributed to the Centralized Quarantine Area at the Ethnic Minority Secondary School.

Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Tuong Duong district, Mr. Luong Ba Vin, said: “The amount of food, necessities that units, organizations, businesses, households and individuals have donated is extremely necessary for Tuong Duong district at the present time; contributing to helping the Cham Puong people ensure a stable life during the days of lockdown; helping Tuong Duong district effectively carry out the work of preventing and fighting the Covid epidemic...”.

Regarding the epidemic situation in Cham Puong village in recent days, according to the District Party Secretary, Mr. Nguyen Van Hai, it is extremely complicated. He said that since the first cases were announced, Cham Puong village has had 21 Covid-19 cases, in addition, there are 131 F1 and 152 F2. Therefore, Luong Minh commune implements social isolation according to Directive No. 16, the whole Tuong Duong district implements social distancing according to Directive No. 15.

However, thanks to the close direction of the Provincial Steering Committee for Covid-19 Prevention and Control; at the same time, with the timely attention and support of provincial agencies, districts, cities and towns in the province, organizations, businesses, and many households and individuals, Tuong Duong district is doing a very good job in preventing and controlling Covid-19.
