Nghe An Provincial People's Committee agreed to adjust the plan to expand Vinh city.

Provincial Party Secretary, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Duc Trung attended and directed the conference to review the Standing Committee of the Vinh City Party Committee.

On the morning of November 29, the Vinh City Party Committee Standing Committee held a conference to review collectives and individuals in 2024. Comrade Nguyen Duc Trung - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee attended and directed the conference.

Vinh City increased from 25 to 33 communes and wards after expanding administrative boundaries and rearranging administrative units.

Expanding administrative boundaries, Thanh Chuong town's current area is tripled.

Focus on appraising and approving job position projects; vigorously implementing the project to expand the administrative boundaries of Vinh City.

The Provincial People's Committee worked with an interdisciplinary survey team to inspect the current status of urban development in the expanded Vinh city.

Agree to submit to the Provincial People's Council for approval the Project proposing to recognize the expanded Vinh city, meeting the criteria of a type I urban area.
