Gabion embankment prevents serious landslides on the negative slope along the Nam Mo river bank
(Baonghean.vn) - Due to the impact of recent storms and rains, some locations along the Nam Mo River, Ky Son District have suffered serious landslides. Currently, the traffic management unit is focusing on building stone gabion embankments to prevent landslides on the negative slope, ensuring traffic safety for National Highway 7 soon.

According to PV's observation, the positionsnegative slope landslideOn National Highway 7 along the Nam Mo River passing through Huoi Tho village, Huu Kiem commune, Ky Son district, the road is "eaten" into the road, posing a potential risk of traffic accidents.
Accordingly, to ensure safety for traffic and prevent further landslides on the roadway, the traffic management unit mobilized human resources, equipment, and machinery to install stone gabion embankments at the above landslide site.

The landslide section of Nam Mo river bank passes through Huoi Tho village, Huu Kiem commune (Ky Son) over 45 meters long, 7 meters deep, the traffic management unit has completed over 70% of the stone embankment volume, and is continuing to process the pouring of concrete for the foundation at some locations of riverbank landslides.
According to plan, by the end of December 2022, the above rock embankment project will be completed to safely protect the Nam Mo riverbank and National Highway 7A.
National Highway 16 in Ky Son district has many dangerous landslides.
