Opening of the 2020 National Youth Kick-Boxing Championship in Nghe An
(Baonghean.vn) – The 2020 National Youth Kick-Boxing Championship taking place in Vinh city, Nghe An has 23 athletes competing in 23 weight categories.
On the evening of July 20, at the Provincial Sports Stadium, the General Department of Sports and Physical Training in coordination with the Department of Culture and Sports of Nghe An organized the opening ceremony of the 2020 National Youth Kick-boxing Championship.

The tournament had 35 delegations with more than 400 athletes from provinces, cities and sectors across the country, competing in 2 age groups (from 14 to 16 and 17 to 18), weight categories from 40 to 81kg. The tournament had a total of 43 sets of medals for both men and women.
The host unit Nghe An has 23 martial artists participating (12 men, 11 women) competing in all 23 weight classes with the goal of winning 2 sets of medals.

After the opening ceremony, the athletes officially entered the first matches. In the 60kg weight class, boxer Nguyen Canh Bang of the host Nghe An team dominated and won the final match against boxer Do Phuc Hau of the People's Army. The tournament will last until July 30.
