Opening Ceremony of the 19th Vac Village Festival, 2018

Before the opening ceremony, Thai Hoa town organized a procession of the Cauldron from the festival grounds to Lang Vac Temple and held a Great Ceremony.

Next, Thai Hoa town held the opening ceremony with the participation of comrade: Le Xuan Dai - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; comrades of the Provincial Party Committee: Hoang Trong Kim - Director of the Department of Construction; Nguyen Dinh Hoa - Secretary of Thai Hoa Town Party Committee and representatives of leaders of provincial departments, branches, districts, towns.

This year's festival takes place over 2 days (April 24-25, 2018). Besides the ceremony, the festival has many exciting cultural and sports activities such as: camping, volleyball, sack jumping, blindfolded chicken catching, stick pushing, tug of war, beautiful singing, Lang Vac beauties...

Lang Vac Festival is an opportunity for local people and tourists from all over to return to the origin of the Lac Hong race; at the same time, it demonstrates the spirit of community solidarity, educates awareness of protecting, preserving relics, conserving and promoting traditional cultural and historical values.

A large number of people from 10 wards and communes in the town and tourists from all over came to offer incense to commemorate the Hung Kings at Lang Vac Temple and participate in and cheer on games, and buy local products.

National archaeological site Lang Vac in Nghia Hoa commune, Thai Hoa town. After 5 excavations on an area of ​​over 1,400 m², archaeologists found 347 burial tombs and 1,228 artifacts.

The age of the artifacts shows that Lang Vac was the center of Dong Son culture in the Ca River basin, one of the cradles of the ancient Vietnamese people, highly appreciated by domestic and international archaeologists.
