After a period of active preparation and full implementation of the steps according to the instructions, with the consent of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, on the afternoon of May 17, 2020, the Party Executive Committee of Yen Thanh district, term XXVI, term 2015 - 2020, held the 27th District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.

Yen Thanh district is the first unit to organize a congress among the four party committees selected by the Standing Committee of Nghe An Provincial Party Committee to organize a model congress for the 2020-2025 term.

In his opening speech, comrade Nguyen Viet Hung - Secretary of Yen Thanh District Party Committee introduced the working program of the first session and asked delegates to promote their sense of responsibility, focus on discussion, contribute ideas, and unify the contents for the congress to be a great success.

In the first working session, the Congress elected the Presidium, Secretariat, and the Delegate Qualification Examination Board. At the same time, it approved the Congress program and regulations, and disseminated the Party's election regulations.

The Congress also listened to a report summarizing comments on the draft documents submitted to the 27th Yen Thanh District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025; Report on the Draft Action Program to implement the Resolution of the 27th District Party Congress.

According to the summary report, the implementation of collecting opinions on the draft political report of the 27th District Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025 was carried out seriously and with quality; the discussion atmosphere was lively, democratic, responsible, and enthusiastic; the discussion content was focused and key, closely following the suggestions of superiors.

The comments on the draft Political Report basically agreed with the content of the draft Political Report and assessed that the report was carefully prepared, with a clear and scientific layout.

The report's content objectively reflects the results achieved, frankly acknowledges shortcomings, limitations and weaknesses, thereby pointing out the causes and drawing many valuable lessons for the next term.

The frank opinions contributed to the term targets, economic development orientation, tasks and solutions for Party organization building, anti-corruption, as well as solutions to effectively implement the targets and tasks set forth in the Congress Resolution.

The Congress will work for 3 days (from May 17 to May 19) with important contents: Approving the Political Report of the Executive Committee of the Yen Thanh District Party Committee, term XXVI, 2015 - 2020; Review Report of the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee, term XXVI, 2015 - 2020; Electing the Executive Committee of the District Party Committee, term XXVI, 2020 - 2025; Electing the delegation to attend the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025.
