Inauguration of the new headquarters of Nghe An Northwestern General Hospital
(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of February 24, the Northwest Nghe An Regional General Hospital (Tay Hieu Commune - Thai Hoa) held the inauguration ceremony of its new headquarters.

Over the years, the Northwest Regional General Hospital has continuously grown in terms of scale, technical equipment, and human resources to better meet the needs of medical examination and treatment and become a trusted address for the people of the region. On average, each year, the Hospital examines over 150,000 patients, treats over 35,000 inpatients, and performs nearly 7,000 surgeries.

In the context of the increasingly degraded and overloaded old hospital facilities, affecting the quality of examination and treatment for the people, Nghe An province has decided to start construction of a new headquarters investment project for the Northwest Regional General Hospital.
The new headquarters was invested and built completely on an area of 5 hectares with a total cost of 198 billion VND, including 6 buildings with a total floor area of over 20 thousand square meters conveniently connected together...

To fully utilize the new building's functions, the hospital has added many modern facilities to serve patients such as: International standard operating room system, complete DR digital X-ray system, new generation ultrasound machine, modern testing system...
Currently, the Hospital has a planned capacity of 350 beds and an actual capacity of 700 beds, meeting the outpatient examination and treatment needs of 1,500 patients and inpatient examination and treatment for 600-700 patients per day.
Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Xuan Duong sent his best wishes to the hospital's medical staff on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of Vietnam Doctors' Day.

Comrade Nguyen Xuan Duong affirmed: The inauguration and putting into use of the Northwest Regional General Hospital on the occasion of the Vietnam Doctors' Day is an important event for the province in general and for the people of the Northwest districts of Nghe An in particular. Although the project implementation encountered many difficulties in terms of capital, with the efforts of all levels and sectors, the project was completed on time, meeting the expectations of the people.

The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee hopes that the hospital's staff, doctors, and employees will effectively promote the invested equipment resources; and effectively implement the plan of autonomy and self-responsibility for the organization of human resources and finance in the 2017-2020 period.
