(Baonghean.vn) - On the afternoon of September 16, the Provincial National Assembly Delegation organized a survey and worked with the Nghi Loc District People's Committee to grasp the situation and results of handling complaints, denunciations, and petitions of citizens transferred by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation under the jurisdiction of the Nghi Loc District People's Committee.

Attending the meeting were comrades: Vo Thi Minh Sinh - Member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Nghe An province; Thai Thi An Chung - Member of the Provincial Party Executive Committee, Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Tran Nhat Minh - full-time delegate of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation.

On Nghi Loc district side, there were comrade Nguyen Tien Dung - Chairman of the district People's Committee; representatives of leaders of relevant departments, offices and localities.

Nghi Loc is a locality with many industrial parks and key projects of the province. In recent times, the number of petitions in the district has increased compared to the same period last year. The petitions are mainly related to the field of site clearance and issuance of land use right certificates.

The reason for the emergence of many petitions is that Nghi Loc district is a locality with many projects attracting investment from the province, but the regulations on compensation and site clearance policies are unstable, have inappropriate content, and land management work through the periods still has shortcomings.

In 2 years (2021 and 2022), the District People's Committee received 1,408 petitions with 1,183 cases, of which 283 cases were transferred by superiors; 7 cases were transferred by the National Assembly Delegation of Nghe An province.

At the meeting, leaders of Nghi Loc district and related departments, offices and localities clarified the progress and difficulties in resolving each case and petition sent by the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, including: Petition of Ms. Dang Thi Ha in Hamlet 2, Nghi Trung Commune, reflecting the fact that Minh An Mechanical Service Trading Company produces and trades iron and steel, causing noise, flooding, affecting security, order and traffic safety in residential areas.

Petition of Mr. Nguyen Xuan Thong in Tan Son hamlet, Nghi Yen commune, requesting land compensation and resettlement when implementing the traffic project connecting National Highway 1A to Bai Lu Eco-tourism Area.

Petition of Mr. Hoang Nhat Binh in hamlet 10, Nghi Thuan commune, requesting competent authorities to clarify the land acquisition of his family to clear the site for the N5 road project through Nghi Thuan commune.

Mr. Thach Quang Hiep's petition in Truong Thinh hamlet, Nghi Truong commune complained to Nghi Truong commune regarding the illegal preparation of documents to grant him a Land Use Rights Certificate and requested the return of the land plot that the Commune People's Committee borrowed from his family to build the old hamlet 8 cultural house.

The petition of Ms. Nguyen Thi Chon in Trung Thang hamlet, Nghi Tien commune reflects: Nghi Tien commune People's Committee recovered her family's land to build a road but did not have a decision to recover, arbitrarily demolished embankments, crops, and constructions on the land and did not compensate her family for land and property, affecting the rights of the people and some other contents.

Application of Mr. Trinh Van Phuc in hamlet 8, Nghi Dong commune, requesting competent authorities to recognize land use rights at Co Co field in hamlet 8, Nghi Dong commune, which his family has been producing and cultivating since 2003.

Concluding the meeting, comrade Thai Thi An Chung - Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation acknowledged and assessed: In the past time, the Party Committee and government of Nghi Loc district have paid great attention to receiving, processing petitions and resolving complaints and denunciations every year in accordance with legal regulations, the rate of resolving complaints and denunciations every year is always high.

He suggested that the district provide more complete information about the incident so that the Provincial National Assembly Delegation can work with relevant departments, branches and units to resolve citizens' petitions.

The Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation suggested that the district should learn from experience in handling a number of citizens' petitions; classify petitions to ensure proper handling; continue to pay attention to and urge relevant departments, offices and localities to promptly and thoroughly resolve citizens' petitions and feedback.
