After nearly 1 month of collecting information and investigating, on September 29, 2017, Do Luong District Police broke up the "917M" case, arresting 3 subjects including Nguyen Van Trong (born 1993), residing in Hamlet 4, Thuong Son Commune; Nguyen Van Giap (born 1995), residing in Hamlet 5, Dai Son Commune; Ho Sy Chung (born 1970), residing in Hamlet 4, Thuong Son Commune.

During the search at the slaughterhouse of Nguyen Xuan The (born in 1963) in Hamlet 3, Thuong Son Commune, Do Luong Police seized 293 pink pills, 4 packages of crystal meth, 1 grenade, 2 sports guns, 15 military bullets of various types, 1 sword, 1 electronic scale and many related exhibits.

At the same time, four more subjects were discovered illegally using drugs right in the slaughterhouse area of ​​Nguyen Xuan The, including: Va Ba Chua (born 2001) in Tien Tien village, Nam Can commune, Ky Son district; Tran Huu Thang (born 1989) in Van Dong hamlet, Hien Son commune; Nguyen Van Giap (born 1995) in hamlet 5, Dai Son commune and Nguyen Van Trong (born 1970) in hamlet 4, Thuong Son commune.

During the investigation, Va Ba Chua confessed to buying 10 ecstasy pills from Nguyen Van Trong for use and was discovered.
